Stephen Curry out at least another week with tailbone injury
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is still recovering from a bruised tailbone he suffered last week and will miss at least another week, coach Steve Kerr said on Tuesday.
Kerr said that Curry underwent an MRI on Tuesday morning, which revealed inflammation in his tailbone. They plan to re-evaluate again in a week, meaning Curry will miss at least four more games.
“He had made some progress the first couple of days just resting and then he did a little bit more work [Monday] and was still pretty sore,” Kerr said, via ESPN. “So our training staff and Steph put their heads together and decided this is going to be a little bit longer than we thought and hoped. So we'll re-evaluate in a week."
Curry, in their 108-94 win over the Houston Rockets last week, stumbled backward and off the court after missing a 3-point shot. While he was trying to catch his balance, Curry stepped off the court and ended up falling directly onto his tailbone on the sideline.
Clearly in pain, Curry eventually walked off slowly to the locker room and didn’t return. He hasn’t played since.

Curry has averaged 29 points and 6.2 assists per game this season while shooting nearly 48% from the field.
With Kerr’s latest timeline, Curry could at best return in time for their game against the Miami Heat next Thursday — the start of a three-game road trip with stops in Tampa and Atlanta.
