Fan shares ‘chants and things that Swifties do’ for The Eras Tour prep: ‘Elder Swifties are so behind on the times’

Taylor Swift’s long-awaited, highly anticipated The Eras Tour — which many fans were unable to get tickets for — kicks off in less than a month. For Swifties that scored the golden ticket, the day couldn’t arrive soon enough.

Dedicated Swiftie Beck (@beckharhai13) has taken it upon herself to help other fans prepare for the big night.

“The tour literally starts in one month, so I’m gonna go over some chants and things that Swifties do during certain parts of songs,” she begins.

“I got this idea ’cause I was at a Taylor Swift night a couple of weekends ago. There were just some Swifties there who didn’t know what to do when the chants came up, so I’m sharing this wealth of knowledge so that everyone can be prepared.”

Just as the tour name suggests, The Eras Tour will feature songs from Taylor’s entire discography.

Beck starts with the chant for “Delicate,” which is from Taylor’s “Reputation” album. She explains that between the intro and first verse, Swifties are supposed to chant, “1, 2, 3…Let’s go b****!”

Next up? “Bad Blood” from Taylor’s fifth studio album “1989.”

“Basically, she’s gonna perform her normal version of ‘Bad Blood,’ but everyone screams, ‘You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go,’ during the bridge.”

She then describes the “loop” that happens during “Blank Space.” According to Beck, Taylor sings the name of the city she’s performing in during this part.

“The last one is the ‘You Belong With Me’ clap,” she continues. “Taylor and her band have literally just been doing this since all the way back in [the] ‘Fearless’ era, and it’s just really fun to do and know how to do.”

Beck says the clap occurs after the lyric, “I’m the one who makes you laugh when you know you’re about to cry.”

“I’m sorry WHAT. CHANTS. elder swifties are so behind on the times.”

Now, with 1 million views and more than 203,900 likes, fellow Swifties are weighing in in the comments.

“Me taking notes even though I couldn’t get tickets,” replied @eberlaurel.

“yessss share it for our new swifties who haven’t gotten to go to a concert yet! loveeeee,” wrote @graybrady.

“I’m sorry WHAT. CHANTS. elder swifties are so behind on the times,” said @jaxkirmse.

Taylor Swift’s official TikTok account even liked the video.

“TAYLOR LIKEDDDDD,” commented @misamericanaa.

As the start of The Eras Tour looms near, expect Swifties to continue showcasing their preparation for the momentous event. It’s Taylor’s first tour in five years — we get the hype!
