DRUG TESTING: 60 companies where workers are most worried
New research has revealed the 60 companies where workers are most anxious about drug testing.
Employee screening firm JDP analysed the Google search habits of Americans in 2019, looking for phrases like "Does KFC drug test?". The tally of such searches for each company were then compared against the number of people employed at the firm.
The overwhelming "winner" was Aldi USA, with one search relating to drug testing performed for every 13 employees.
The next most nervous were the staff at PetSmart, which was a distant second at 42 people per search.
"You don’t have to be a pilot or pro athlete to fear drug testing from your employer," said a JDP spokesperson.
"Tens of millions of Americans are potentially subject to workplace drug testing each year. And naturally that has some workers more concerned than others."
Other recognisable names for Australians in the top ten were McDonald's (5th most worried staff), Foot Locker (8th) and Target (9th).
