Coronavirus news – live: Case rates highest among teenagers as Covid passports to be ready by summer
Covid-19 case rates in England are continuing to fall among all age groups, Public Health England has said, but is highest among 10 to 19-year-olds, with 42.3 cases per 100,000 people in the seven days to 18 April.
In nearly all regions of England except the south west, Covid-19 case rates have fallen.
Meanwhile, Covid passports will reportedly be ready for use in time for the summer holidays, it has been reported.
Such certification would prove people have received a coronavirus vaccine that could allow them to travel and attend mass events. According to The Telegraph, the travel industry has been told the passports will be made available as early as May.
