Cat has ‘practice session’ with baby doll to prep for newborn: ‘It didn’t go as planned’

A pet owner’s orange cat is not so keen on the idea of becoming a “brother.”

Kobe is a 22-year-old TikToker with a sister who is over nine months pregnant. With a new baby on the way, he thought he would get the family cat, Loki, acclimated to having a newborn around. Kobe decided to give Loki a practice run with a baby doll. Things quickly took a turn. The hilarious video received over 3.8 million views on TikTok.

“My sister is 38 weeks pregnant, and I thought I would give Loki a practice session. It didn’t go as planned,” Kobe said.

The cat poked and prodded at a baby doll with his paw. He circled the toy as if trying to figure out if it was prey.

“Why’s he sniffing it like that?” Kobe’s sister asked.

“Stop! Stop!” Kobe said, cracking into laughter. “Cut it out. That’s literally going to be your brother. You are failing the practice session.”

Loki continued to aggressively paw at the doll’s head before losing interest and walking away. Let’s just hope when the real baby comes, he’s a little more accomodating.

“It’s always the orange cats,” Kobe wrote in the caption.

“Loki didn’t pass the vibe check,” a user said.

“Not me thinking that was an actual baby,” someone commented.

“If the baby was crying, it would have been different,” another wrote.
