Buying Beverly Hills’ new castmember Michelle Schwartz has “nothing but love” for Kyle Richards’ daughters despite some harsh comments about their ability to lead.
During the newest season of the Netflix reality show, which dropped Friday, Schwartz, who is a managing partner at Mauricio Umansky’s real estate company The Agency, criticized Farrah Brittany and Alexia Umansky and their potential to succeed Mauricio as CEO one day.
“I love the girls. I think they're very capable of selling real estate, but I don't see this ‘oomph,’ like that like dying to take over,” she says in an episode, adding, “Farrah is a much quieter person. She's not that person that wants to speak in front of everyone to inspire, and I don't know that Farrah or Alexia, who have the silver platter and the last name, they don't have to work as hard as I did. They're not f---ing walking into a room of suits and commanding the room.”
“If it's about the girls taking over, I actually think it's going to be business suicide,” she continues. “You don't just get to take over a company just because you have the same last name. You have to earn it. And I think that if there's anyone that has shown that they have, you know, grit and hustle and are like, you know, f---ing street gangsters like, I think that that's me.”
Schwartz’s remarks did not go over well with Farrah, 35, and Alexia, 27, who learned of them from a colleague and confronted Schwartz during an open house for a listing.
Mauricio eventually had a frank chat with Schwartz, who apologized. The real estate mogul also emphasized that, being 53-years-old, he has no succession plan in place.
“It really was the first time of us having this type of a conversation,” Schwartz tells PEOPLE. “So I think the way that I felt the conversation ended was that we were beginning a conversation, and we'll see where things go. I didn't necessarily feel entirely shut down. I feel empowered to continue to push and strive for more and bigger things.”
The realtor also emphasized she and Mauricio remain on very good terms following the discussion.

We're family friends. We go way back,” she says, adding, “We've been through the gamut, and certainly he's provided me an amazing opportunity of growth. I have nothing but love and appreciation and gratitude for everything that I've … been given, but also that I've earned.”
While the Beverly Hills native says she thoroughly enjoyed watching this season — “I think the season came out fantastic” — she hopes a possible third season will point to her professional achievements more to offer context “for why I’m in the position that I am.” Schwartz also would like the chance “to have a little more fun” on camera and show she can be “very fun” and “lighthearted.”
“I love what the producers did. I think they made some really funny edits and takes on different personalities, so I really enjoyed it,” she says. “I found myself laughing through a lot of it. Obviously, I know everyone personally, so it makes it a little extra funny for me. But all in all, an edit is an edit. I take ownership of the things that I said, and it is what it is, but there's nothing but love.”
