Bonza has announced 25 routes that will take Aussie travellers to 16 destinations around Australia, including one capital city.

Yahoo Finance understands flights will be around $50 to $100 depending on the route, with prices to be announced later in the year.

The new airline plans to service travellers looking to make their way to underserved parts of the country.

“Since announcing Bonza to the world late last year, we’ve always said we wouldn’t just fly between Australia’s three largest cities and instead give people in the regions more choice,” CEO of Bonza Tim Jordan said.

“Today, we deliver on that promise, with the largest launch announcement in Australian aviation history.”

The 16 destinations are:

  • Albury

  • Avalon

  • Bundaberg

  • Cairns

  • Coffs Harbour

  • Gladstone

  • Mackay

  • Melbourne

  • Mildura

  • Newcastle

  • Port Macquarie

  • Rockhampton

  • Sunshine Coast

  • Toowoomba Wellcamp

  • Townsville

  • Whitsunday Coast

The airline will have two bases, one on the Sunshine Coast and the other in Melbourne, and aims to give Aussies more options at a low cost.

“With destinations ranging from Albury to the Whitsundays, travellers will now be able to fly, instead of impossibly long road trips, as well as fly direct without a stopover in a major city,” Jordan said.

“Aussies can look forward to enjoying more time at their destination and spending less of their hard-earned cash getting there in the first place.”
