Police have arrested former NAB staffer, Rosemary Rogers over an alleged $40 million fraud scandal.

It comes just days after the arrest of another Australian woman allegedly involved, NAB supplier Helen Rosamond from Human Group.

Rogers entered the Surry Hills Police Centre this morning with her lawyer to meet with detectives from the Financial Crimes Squad.

Rogers had previously had her bank account frozen as the NSW Crime Commission continued its ongoing investigation into the alleged NAB bribery scandal.

Director of events management company and former NAB supplier Human Group, Rosamond, was arrested last week on 56 charges of 56 counts of bribery.

When contacted by Yahoo Finance for comment, NAB referred to its statement on the matter last week.

“The alleged fraud was reported by a whistleblower. NAB responded immediately, investigated and reported it to police.”

“If the alleged fraud is proven, it represents a most serious breach of trust.

“We continue to cooperate fully with police and we thank them for their important work in investigating this matter.

“NAB is the victim in this matter. Police have confirmed that no one at NAB is under investigation, including former CEO Andrew Thorburn, and there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by anyone at NAB.”

More to come.
