Beware, a new NAB scam text is making the rounds

Australians who receive a text claiming to be from NAB bank should be wary.

A new scam text claims your NAB account has been locked for unusual activity, and urges you to follow a link to NAB ID Security to unlock your account.

Yahoo Finance can confirm the text is doing the rounds - and it’s even targeting Aussies who aren’t a NAB customers.

If you do receive the text, ScamWatch urges you to report it to the Australian Communications and Media Authority.

You can forward the text on to them at 0429 999 888, or you can report it to the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission via the link here.

If you bank with NAB, you can also report the scam text message to 0476 220 003 or their dedicated email phish@nab.com.au.
