Yahoo Finance Best friends seek to upsize their Harlem apartment as they welcome a third roommate
On this episode of In The Know: Find My Dream Room, host Will Taylor (@brightbazaar) helps best friends and roommates, Morgan and Isabella, find a 3-bedroom apartment with an in-unit washer-dryer in New York City between $3,000 and $3,500. Can Will strike off everything on their wishlist, or is their perfect apartment too good to be true?
First up is a spacious 4-bedroom apartment that’s slightly over budget at $3,600. Morgan and Isabella love how much natural light the unit gets, and are pleased with the large bedrooms but the pièce de résistance is the stunning living space that’s tailormade for hosting parties and get-togethers. However, the apartment doesn’t have a washer-dryer in-unit, but there is laundry in the building. Will that be a dealbreaker for Morgan and Isabella?
Apartment number two is a 3-bedroom unit at $3,050, on the lower end of their budget. The bedrooms in this unit are a bit smaller than the first, but it does offer a washer-dryer in the unit which is a must-have for Morgan and Isabella. Morgan especially loves the open bar in the kitchen because she’s all about hosting parties.
The final space is a 3-bedroom apartment in a modern building with tons of closet space. The apartment boasts a ton of natural light, making the bedrooms and living spaces bright and airy. However, at $3,680, it’s the most expensive space Will has shown today.
Two weeks later, Morgan and Isabella return for an update to reveal that they went with apartment number two. “It was right next to the subway, it had an in-unit washer-dryer and we loved the kitchen,” gushed Isabella. Just goes to show, for Will, no job is too big when it comes to finding a dream apartment!
