Beauty blogger confesses body image battles
An Aussie blonde bombshell with a social media following of over a million has opened up about her battles with body image in an empowering YouTube video.
Beauty blogger Brittney Saunders is a social media star who portrays a sense of confidence, radiance and ultimate girl power. But while on a promotional trip to the Hayman Islands with a group of fitness bloggers, Brittney confessed to feeling like she had the "biggest bum and legs" there.
"Holy f***, I am not confident in my body whatsoever,” she recalled thinking.
"I found myself the entire time comparing my body to all the other girls' bodies who were there."
Deciding to fight those insecurities, the 23-year-old posted three candid bikini shots to Instagram and it quickly sent her followers into a frenzy!
“Reading all of your lovely comments on my bikini pictures form Hayman Islands definitely made me feel more confident about myself and I guess posting those pictures kind of gave me a bit of confidence," she said.

Feeling the love, she came home with enough confidence to post a photo of herself in a cute one-piece suit kneeling in her bedroom.
But, there's always one body-shamer...
“Legs (thumbs down) chubby looking. But bathers so cute," the hater wrote alongside her snap.
The hate triggered an influx of positive messages towards Brittney while telling off the stray for bringing hate on another woman.
"I was just blown away because these are a bunch of girls I'd probably never met in my life and they follow me on Instagram and they felt compelled to leave comments standing up for me," she said.
“We need more of us girls rather than body shaming and comparing ourselves to others."
Brittney admitted she still scrolls through Instagram and compares her body to others, but said her goal for 2017 is to promote positive body image.
"There's so many Instagram models and you scroll through your Explore page and its filled with these really fit girls, it's so easy for us to compare ourselves to one another," she said.
"We should get together and all just comment peach emojis on each other's pictures if someone's bum is in the photo."
Last year, the beauty blogger was applauded for uploading a video showing mascara pouring down her face after being dumped by her boyfriend who told her he simply "doesn't love her anymore".
She later revealed that a certain someone involved in her life made her feel "bad" about her body, however refused to go into any more detail.
Brittney said all of these incidents have been a wakeup call and she is asking women to stick together and join her on her quest of embracing one another "because we all have different body shapes".
“We can only ever be us!" she said, "We are never going to be the other person we are comparing ourselves to.”
