These 6 Australia universities are among the top 100 in the world

The top 100 universities in the world have been named by Times Higher Education.

The organisation's annual rankings includes more than 1,250 institutions and uses 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide a comprehensive guide on the world's best universities.

Leading the way are the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge, which ranked first and second respectively -- for the second year in a row.

Six Australian universities are also ranked in this year's top 100 list.
