5 gorgeously festive holiday cocktails

A festive holiday party calls for some festive holiday cocktails! Because what better way to literally shake and stir up the holiday cheer than with a variety of eye-catching drinks? From a peppermint bark martini to a gin and “tonikkah,” these boozy beverages are sure to light up a party. If you’re looking to take things up a notch from your traditional eggnog, here are five holiday cocktail recipes for a jolly good time.

Traveling home for the holidays? Here are 4 things you need to do right now

1. Peppermint bark martini

Infuse your classic martini with the fresh taste of peppermint. TikToker @pourperry begins by adding peppermint schnapps and crème de cacao liqueur in a glass with ice. Next, they add peppermint bark RumChata before shaking. Finally, the at-home bartender pours the mix into a martini glass with some chocolate syrup drizzled inside.

2. ‘The Grinch’ cocktail

Despite its name, this cocktail will turn you into the exact opposite of a Grinch. Begin by filling a shaker with ice. Then add Midori liqueur, vodka, lime juice and lemon juice before shaking. Next, fill a sugar-rimmed glass with ice. Then pour in the cocktail mix. Top it off with some soda water and maraschino cherries. Throw in a candy cane for a final festive garnish.

3. Ornament sangria

This cocktail takes holiday decor to a whole new level. TikToker @coriinthecity begins by pouring sangria into an empty plastic ornament using a funnel. Next, she adds an ice cube with frozen berries in a glass followed by more unfrozen berries. Finally, she places the ornament on top of the glass, and it’s ready to serve!

4. Gin and ‘tonikkah

Enjoy eight crazy nights with this cocktail. Begin by slicing cucumbers to create a menorah-shaped garnish. Next, pour tonic and green Chartreuse into a highball glass rimmed with a long slice of cucumber. Then add ice before pouring gin into the glass over a spoon to create the drink’s colorful gradient. Using a spoon will slow down the pour, so the liquid is evenly dispersed on top. Garnish with the cucumber menorah, and bottoms up!

5. Sugar cookie martini

If sugar cookies are one of your holiday favorites, then you’ll definitely want to try this cocktail. First, add vanilla vodka, amaretto liqueur, Baileys Irish Cream and your choice of milk in a glass. Once shaken, pour the mix into a martini glass rimmed with chocolate syrup and candy cane bits. Garnish with a candy cane and enjoy!
