How much the CEOs of Australia's biggest companies earned in 2023 has been revealed.

The highest-paid CEOs in Australia have been revealed and the top earner made an eye-watering $30 million during the year.

Macquarie Group’s Shemara Wikramanayake topped the pay ranks as Australia’s highest-paid chief executive for the third year in a row, according to the Australian Financial Review’s list.

Wikramanayake became the managing director and CEO of Macquarie Group in 2018. This year, her reported pay was boosted by almost 30 per cent to top $30 million. She is the only woman to make the top 10 and only one of two among the top 50 list.
