1. Facebook is under pressure after the murder of 50 people in two mosques in Christchurch. 28-year-old Brenton Tarrant, who has been charged with murder over the massacre, livestreamed the footage on Facebook's platform.

2. The first victim of the New Zealand mass shooting was identified as 71-year-old Daoud Nabi. According to his son, Omar Nabi, he was killed while throwing himself in front of another worshipper.

3. Tarrant flashed a white power symbol in a Christchurch court on Saturday and reportedly smirked at the media. During the hearing, he did not speak, but made an “OK” gesture associated with white supremacy.

4. An Australian teenager egged a right-wing politician who blamed the New Zealand mosque attacks on Muslim immigration. The politician, Senator Fraser Anning, responded by punching the 17-year-old.

5. President Donald Trump said he does not see white nationalism as a rising threat after a mass shooting at two mosques in New Zealand. “I don’t really. I think it’s a small group of people that have very, very serious problems, I guess,” Trump told reporters when asked if he’s seen a rise.

6. The academic at the heart of the Cambridge Analytica privacy scandal is suing Facebook for defamation. Aleksandr Kogan, who created an app that enabled Cambridge Analytica to collect personal details of millions of Facebook users, sued Facebook for defamation on Friday, The New York Times reported.

7. Chinese tech giant Huawei confirmed it has developed its own operating system that could replace Google’s Android and Microsoft’s Windows should it be barred from using American-made products. “We have prepared our own operating system. Should it ever happen that we can no longer use these systems, we would be prepared,” Huawei executive Richard Yu said.

8. Far-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos has officially been banned from entering Australia after he made comments about Islam in the wake of the New Zealand massacre. Immigration Minister David Coleman said Yiannopoulos’ comments were “appalling," adding that they “foment hatred and division.”

9. Jeff Bezos is about to host his annual invite-only robot conference. The MARS conference typically takes place around the third week in March at The Parker Resort in Palm Springs, California.

10. A devastating Arctic temperature rise that could submerge coastal cities and trigger species extinction is now locked in. Even if Paris Agreement goals met, Arctic winter temperatures will increase 3-5°C by 2050 and 5-9°C by 2080.
