Nvidia (NVDA) and AMD (AMD) have both made product announcements at Taipei's Computex conference. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang revealed details about the next-generation "Rubin" chip platform, while AMD launched its new AI processor. KeyBanc Capital Markets technology analyst John Vinh joins Market Domination Overtime to discuss how to weigh these announcements. Vinh adds that Huang did not reveal much about Rubin but, given historical tendencies, believes the new platform will get a substantial performance improvement and will boast higher bandwidth memory. While the tech sector is still in the "very early stages" of generative AI, Vinh believes Nvidia has an "extremely bright path ahead." Though other chip companies are returning to investors with "slightly better versions," Vinh says Nvidia is still making very substantial shifts in architecture.
