Woman questions why almond milk costs $1.50 extra

Phoebe Parsons has questioned why non-dairy alternatives add so much to the price of our coffees. Source: TikTok/@phoebe_fitish

Video transcript

Can someone tell me why an almond milk cappuccino is still a dollar 50 more than a regular cappuccino like, I know that almond milk probably does cost a little bit more than dairy milk, but does it cost that much more that it warrants a full dollar 50 elevation?

And that's not just almond milk.

That's soy milk.

That's oat milk.

That's all of the milk alternatives.

And I know for a fact that soy milk is nowhere near as expensive as the nut milk.

So why are we still being charged so much more money for milk alternatives?
