BRIAN SOZZI: It's time for Cut for Time. 3 stories, 1 minute each. We start with this. Turkey gets all the attention at Thanksgiving, but we're making it all about the pumpkin pie. Sam's Club is using AI to track just how much of their pumpkin pie Americans are eating.

Their model uses things like temperature and the football games to track how much pie the stores need to make for the holidays. Jared, I think many folks would say this is creepy. I say, you go Sam's Club. You sell those pies.

JARED BLIKRE: Yes, I got to tell you, I'm in I'm in league with Elon Musk, here. I think the greatest existential threat to humankind humanity is, in fact, AI. And this is just further evidence of that. So if you can calculate to the-- I don't know, how many decimal places-- how many pounds of pumpkin anybody's going to eat this year, I just find that a little bit disconcerting as well.

BRIAN SOZZI: Yeah. This is the last thing. Look, we've been talking all morning long how retailers entered this season with too much inventory. The last thing they need is excess pumpkin pie on the floor. All that stuff goes bad you can pack away jeans, but you can't pack away pumpkin pie. It's just not going to happen. My hat is off to you, Walmart, which is the owner of Sam's Club.

JARED BLIKRE: I got to tell you, Christina, one of our makeup assistants here, head of makeup, she brought in some lovely treats made of--

BRIAN SOZZI: I had one of them they're amazing Yes so and.
