S&P 500, Dow close at new record highs

All three of the major indexes (^DJI,^GSPC, ^IXIC) closed higher on Monday, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average both closing at record highs. Stocks are still feeling the impact of the Federal Reserve's decision to cut its benchmark interest rate by 50 basis points last week.

That is the closing bell on Wall Street, and now it's market domination over time sponsored by tasty trade.

But the major averages are ending up.

I give us a second for the major averages here to reach their final breath of the day.

Takes us just a second here.

But as you can see a sea of green across your screen, we are checking to see if the S and he was able to eat out.

Another all time high comes after an all time high last week for the major average big question was whether or not they were going to be able to maintain some of those gains following that larger than expected Fed rate cut.

Interesting to see the NASDAQ not performing as well as the S and P on a positive price return basis today we saw a little bit of pressure on some individual tech names, and video is under pressure at certain today.

Microsoft, also under pressure after an analyst call from Gloria.

So uh, the big tech basket that typically drives the NASDAQ forward under a bit of pressure.

Maybe that's why we didn't see that upward momentum for that average today.

But it does look like the S and P ending here on the day of about 3/10 of a percent at 5718.

So it could be another record breaking day, guys.
