Meme stocks: GameStop, AMC decline in intraday trading

Yahoo Finance Live’s Brian Cheung breaks down how meme stocks are performing on Tuesday.

Video transcript

BRIAN CHEUNG: I want to take a look now at some of the meme stocks on this Tuesday morning. And you can see right now, actually, shares of GameStop on the move, down about 4%. Perhaps this is just the world catching up with it, now that it's actually a stock that's been overperforming or outperforming the overall market, down 16% compared to the S&P 500 down 18%.

Is it the same story for AMC, down 3% today? Well, it is only down-- or actually, it's down 50% year to date, even though a lot of people actually going back to the movie theaters, despite "Top Gun" being back in. So I don't know what's going on there.
