Manchester United stock rises, broadcast revenue slips

Yahoo Finance Live’s Julie Hyman breaks down the rise in stock for Manchester United.

Video transcript

- And as we take a breath here, let's take a look at a trending ticker that we're watching this morning. That is Manchester United. The English football giant has turned a profit for the first time since the pandemic took hold, posting a 22% jump in commercial revenue, but its income from match days and broadcast slipped.

The club, of course, is currently the subject of a takeover battle, and it saw its debt rise in the quarter, saying it still owes around $650 million. Despite all the buyout talk, ManU you did not mention anything regarding a sale, any update on that.
