The Australian passport is already one of the most expensive in the world, but it's set to go up in price twice next year. Every year on New Year's day, the cost is indexed with household inflation. In addition to that cost, from July 1, 2024, the fees are set to increase a further 15%. An adult Australian passport currently costs $325 over 10 years. It's expected that the second increase will add $50 to the price on top of the additional cost applied on January 1st.
