- If you feel like you're spending money every time you leave the house, you're not alone. Here's five things you can do to have a no-spend weekend. Number 1, get out for a hike, bike ride, bushwalk, or beach walk. It's free and great exercise.
Number 2, declutter and clear out your closet. Bonus points if you can list some of the stuff for sale online. GumTree's research has shown that 86% of Aussies have unwanted items they could sell, worth an estimated value of $6,964 per household.
Number 3, make an at-home movie setup. Whether it's a doona den, dark lighting, or microwavable popcorn from the back of your pantry, you can turn your Netflix binge into a movie-worthy experience. Number four, dust off the board games. Get some friends or family together for a board game tournament.
Number 5, visit an art gallery. You know those places you say that you're going to visit but then you don't? There are so many with free entry that are sure to make a fun culture-filled experience.
