Shares of Deere & Co. (DE) are higher on Wednesday morning, thanks to the agricultural equipment maker's upbeat earnings. Deere said it earned $1.57 a share in the fourth quarter, on revenue that rose 25.6% year over year to $7.09 billion. It announced the acquisition of the Wirtgen Group as well, and the transaction is expected to close next month. Deere estimates that Wirtgen will contribute about $75 million to operating profit and about $25 million to net income in fiscal 2018.
