Skanska has issued green bonds worth approximately SEK 4.5 billion to finance sustainable commercial real estate projects and other investments for climate transition. The issue generated substantial interest, attracting bids from around 40 investors.
Skanska, a recognized climate leader in the development and construction industry, will be at COP28 to join with customers, partners and policymakers to scale up global solutions for a more sustainable built environment. COP28, the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties, is a global climate summit being held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, from 30 November, where countries are coming together to negotiate actions to address climate change.
Skanska has signed a contract with Texas State University System to build a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) building located on The Texas State University System's San Marcos campus in Texas, USA. The contract is worth USD 100M, about SEK 1.1 billion, which will be included in the US order bookings for the fourth quarter of 2023.
