Former Treasury chief Sir Tom Scholar has been hired by Japan’s biggest investment bank Nomura but will face restrictions that prevent him from lobbying Government officials.
Japan's Nomura Holdings on Friday said it has appointed former UK treasury official Tom Scholar as non-executive chair of its European division. Scholar will succeed David Godfrey as chair of Nomura Holdings plc (NEHS), Nomura International plc (NIP) and Nomura Bank International plc (NBI) from April 10, 2024, the company said in a statement.
