Soccer-Ten Hag takes blame for Man United squandering another lead

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag said he was responsible for his side throwing away yet another lead in the Champions League after they were pegged back to a 3-3 draw with Galatasaray on Wednesday. The three-time European champions blew a two-goal lead twice in Istanbul, with goalkeeper Andre Onana making two costly errors, to leave their hopes of reaching the last 16 hanging by a thread. United are bottom of Group A with four points from five matches but still just one point adrift of Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

UPDATE 3-Soccer-Onana woe as Galatasaray fight back to deny Man United

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana made two bad errors as hosts Galatasaray twice fought back from two goals down to earn a thrilling 3-3 draw on Wednesday and leave the English side's hopes of reaching the Champions League last 16 in serious doubt. Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay scored for United in a breathless game, but Erik ten Hag's team remained bottom of Group A on four points from five matches, one point adrift of Copenhagen and Galatasaray.

UPDATE 1-Soccer-Man United's Garnacho scores overhead stunner in 3-0 win at Everton

Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho scored with a magical overhead kick in the third minute to send the visitors on their way to a 3-0 win on Sunday over an Everton team already reeling in their first Premier League game after being docked 10 points. The 19-year-old Argentine leapt acrobatically to meet Diogo Dalot's cross, firing the ball into the opposite corner past stranded goalkeeper Jordan Pickford before celebrating with a Cristiano Ronaldo-style pirouette at Goodison Park. Garnacho's stunning strike drew comparisons to Wayne Rooney's famous goal for United in the 2011 Manchester derby.
