    Work Underway to Upgrade High-Voltage Power System in Northwest Ohio

(NYSE: FE), has started construction to upgrade a 138-kilovolt substation in Lucas County's Springfield Township and reconfigure connecting high-voltage power lines.     Mon Power Selected by U.S. Department of Energy for Reliability Project Grant

(NYSE: FE) subsidiary Mon Power has been selected by the Department of Energy to begin award negotiations for up to $5 million in federal funding for a project that will boost electric reliability for customers in parts of rural West Virginia. The funding is part of the Energy Improvements in Rural or Remote Areas (ERA) program established by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

    Nearly 500 Trees to be Planted Across Mahoning Valley on Arbor Day Today

    FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE) is all set to celebrate Arbor Day today by donating nearly 500 trees to two locations in Mahoning County – Mill Creek MetroParks and Beaver Township Nature Preserve. Dozens of employee volunteers from FirstEnergy and Ohio Edison will plant 300 hardwood trees on the Mill Creek MetroParks' 402-acre farm in Canfield, while another group of company volunteers will be planting 160 trees at Beaver Township Nature Preserve in North Lima.
