After the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, the internet is asking: Who is Yung Gravy? Better yet, why was he pictured canoodling with Addison Rae’s mom?
The rapper performed his latest single, “Betty (Get Money),” at the award ceremony’s pre-show. He also walked the black carpet with Sheri Nicole Easterling, the mother of actress and TikTok superstar Addison Rae. It’s no surprise that people wanted to know exactly what was going on when they saw the pair lock lips in matching lilac outfits.

Who is Yung Gravy?
Born Matthew Raymond Hauri on March 19, 1996, he is currently 26 years old and hails from Rochester, Minnesota. His father is from Switzerland, and Yung Gravy has dual Swiss-American citizenship.
During college, he began uploading his rap songs to SoundCloud for fun. In 2017, his song “Mr. Clean” went viral and has since been RIAA-certified platinum. He has 6.5 million followers on TikTok.
Why was Yung Gravy with Addison Rae’s mother at the VMAs?
“We met online and connected right away,” Yung Gravy explained on the VMAs black carpet. “I’m into MILFs, and she’s kind of the queen of MILFs, so I figured it was just the perfect match.”

The pair turned heads when they pecked each other on the lips for the cameras. MTV tweeted the footage, saying, “Never enough kisses at the #VMAs.”
Is Yung Gravy dating Addison Rae’s mom, Sheri Nicole Easterling?
Easterling separated from her husband Monty Lopez in July. Rumors circulated that Lopez had an affair. She has since updated her Instagram bio to say “single mom.”
The pairing have appeared to be flirting on TikTok since July. For example, Easterling stitched a video by the rapper for a fun skit.
Yung Gravy spoke on the Jeff FM podcast earlier in August and explained that he was soon going on a date with Easterling. So we can’t be too surprised the two are making public appearances together now. As for Addison Rae, she did not attend the VMAs this year.
