Good morning.

Here's everything you need to know in finance this morning.

Markets: The ASX is expected to open higher despite a late fall on Wall Street last night. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.01 per cent and the S&P 500 was down 0.16 per cent, while the Nasdaq Composite was down 0.26 per cent.

Property: Climate change could wipe $571 billion off the Australian property market - more than our annual GDP. And there’s one state which will be hit particularly hard.

Crypto: Crypto thieves have stolen $58.76 million worth of Bitcoin from crypto exchange, Binance. It’s a staggering amount of money, but these breaches aren’t uncommon. Here’s why.

Qantas: Qantas has completed the world’s first commercial zero-waste flight. Passengers on the Sydney to Adelaide ate and drank from items that would be completely recycled, as the carrier attempts to cut all single-use plastics from service. Qantas CEO Alan Joyce also announced Qantas would continue to campaign on social issues, like same-sex marriage.

Uber: Uber drivers around the world walked off the job on Wednesday, protesting pay and conditions that allegedly involve threats and sexual harassment. This is what happened in Australia.

Mother’s Day: Love your mum but hate parting with money? Yahoo Finance has spotted some seriously cheap - and pretty - flower bouquets. Here’s where they’re selling them.

Overcrowding: If the Coalition wins next Saturday’s election, they plan to slash immigration by 30,000 over four years. But cutting immigrant numbers doesn’t go far enough, according to UNSW Business School adjunct professor Raja Junankar. He believes we need to cut tourist numbers as well.

Holiday dreaming: It’s a common problem, you need to get away from your job for a few weeks, but you just can’t afford to. But there are some easy ways to scrape a bit of dosh together.

Complaining: Too hot? Train delayed? Coffee shop out of almond milk? Life is full of annoying moments, but complaining is actually shrinking our brains, so we should stop. Here’s how.
