Here’s everything you need to know in finance today.

The ASX is expected to open higher after a positive lead from Wall Street, which saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.24 per cent, the S&P 500 up 0.69 per cent and the Nasdaq up 0.83 per cent.

And, here are five things to watch on the ASX200 today.

The Aussie dollar is buying 68.86 US cents up from 68.59 US cents yesterday.

Brexit’s been blocked: In another blow for Boris Johnson, the UK Speaker has refused to allow a vote on the PM’s Brexit deal.

Speaker John Bercow said a vote should not be allowed as the same issue had been discussed on Saturday: "My ruling is therefore that the motion will not be debated today as it would be repetitive and disorderly to do so.”
