Woman fundraises for 40KK breast reduction after feeding battle

A busty mum with giant 40KK boobs is pleading for reduction surgery after she feared she would suffocate her baby when [Mum discovers male co-worker is stealing her breastmilk|breastfeeding].

Danielle Matier, 31, has battled against her ever growing boobs since she was young and has watched in horror as they grew from a cup size B to KK.

"At the age of 11 I had E-cup boobs,” said Danielle.

“It made me feel awkward and confused as to why I was developing so much and no one else was.

"I've always been big chested ever since I was little – and it brought a lot of negative attention at school.

"I was a normal weight, it was just my breasts that were really big and gave me the self-esteem issues.

"Luckily I met my husband, Mark, when I was 16-years-old – or I definitely wouldn't have had the self-confidence to date in later years.

Along with causing her severe neck and back pain, Danielle struggled to breastfeed her son, Jack, in fear that her boob, which often covered his face, would suffocate him.

"Throughout my pregnancy I was adamant that I wanted to breast feed but the size of my breasts ruined it,” said Danielle.

"My son wouldn't latch on and the top part of my breast would completely cover his face and I was petrified I was going to suffocate him.

With Danielle wearing a KK nursing bra which still couldn’t contain her breasts, the mum eventually realised breastfeeding Jack wasn’t a possibility for her.

"Before Jack was born I didn't even buy any bottles because I was sure I would be breast feeding him,” she said.

"But after two days of trying to get him to latch on, I had to give up because he was getting dehydrated, and we turned to bottles.

"It wasn't until I saw a breastfeeding specialist and we tried every possible feeding position, that she told me that my breasts were too large to feed him."

Despite being able to breastfeed her daughter, Willow, for two weeks, she eventually had to return to bottles due to her breast size also.

"It broke my heart not being able to breastfeed my child and it was the thing that made me know I needed surgery.

Now, Danielle is now fundraising with a GoFundMe page to help her get her dream breast reduction – where she hopes to reduce her breast size by 11 sizes.

"I've tried everything – I even lost seven stone [44kg] after I was advised to do so, but my breasts didn't go down a single size!" said Danielle.

"Mark is very supportive of the fact I want surgery, he has seen first-hand how much my breasts affect me.

"In the UK it's roughly £6,500 [AU $11,300] for the breast reduction surgery but going abroad it's only half the amount.

"I would prefer to get them done in the UK, as there's more risks when you're abroad, but I'm so desperate now that I'll have surgery wherever.

"These are the risks that I'm willing to take to get my breasts smaller as soon as possible.

"My dream would've been to go down to a C cup, but there's risks with that also – so I'm happy enough to settle at a D cup.

"I'm not nervous about surgery, as I've wanted it for so many years. I just want my life back."
