Why I Like Mitchell Services Limited (ASX:MSV)

I've been keeping an eye on Mitchell Services Limited (ASX:MSV) because I'm attracted to its fundamentals. Looking at the company as a whole, as a potential stock investment, I believe MSV has a lot to offer. Basically, it is a company that has been able to sustain great financial health, trading at an attractive share price. In the following section, I expand a bit more on these key aspects. If you're interested in understanding beyond my broad commentary, take a look at the report on Mitchell Services here.

Flawless balance sheet and good value

MSV's ability to maintain an adequate level of cash to meet upcoming liabilities is a good sign for its financial health. This indicates that MSV has sufficient cash flows and proper cash management in place, which is a key determinant of the company’s health. MSV appears to have made good use of debt, producing operating cash levels of 22.33x total debt in the prior year. This is a strong indication that debt is reasonably met with cash generated. MSV's share price is trading at below its true value, meaning that the market sentiment for the stock is currently bearish. According to my intrinsic value of the stock, which is driven by analyst consensus forecast of MSV's earnings, investors now have the opportunity to buy into the stock to reap capital gains. Also, relative to the rest of its peers with similar levels of earnings, MSV's share price is trading below the group's average. This supports the theory that MSV is potentially underpriced.
