As an investor, I look for investments which does not compromise one fundamental factor for another. By this I mean, I look at stocks holistically, from their financial health to their future outlook. In the case of Rightmove plc (LON:RMV), it is a highly-regarded dividend-paying company that has been able to sustain great financial health over the past. In the following section, I expand a bit more on these key aspects. For those interested in digging a bit deeper into my commentary, read the full report on Rightmove here.

Flawless balance sheet average dividend payer

RMV is financially robust, with ample cash on hand and short-term investments to meet upcoming liabilities. This implies that RMV manages its cash and cost levels well, which is a key determinant of the company’s health. Looking at RMV's capital structure, the company has no debt on its balance sheet. It has only utilized funding from its equity capital to run the business, which is rather impressive for a UK£4.8b market cap company. RMV has plenty of financial flexibility, without debt obligations to meet in the short term, as well as the headroom to raise debt should it need to in the future.
