Coles, Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy’s: What will be open on the public holiday
It’s a public holiday everywhere except Queensland and Western Australia this Monday, with all other states and territories enjoying a day off on June 13 for the Queen’s birthday.
Typically, not all retailers stay open during public holidays, or may choose to reduce their operating hours.
Fortunately, most major supermarkets and bottle shops are set to remain open this weekend, although a few will be closed on the Monday and some may trim their trading hours.

Most retailers advised customers to check websites for their local stores to make sure they were open.
Coles
On Monday, all Coles stores in Victoria, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory will remain open during normal trading hours.
In Adelaide, all metro stores will be closed and the Rundle Place store in the CBD will be open 11am-5pm.
In NSW, some stores will have reduced trading hours. Customers should check the website for store-specific opening hours.
Coles Express and Coles Liquor stores may also be operating non-standard trading hours, and customers should consult the website to get information about their local stores.
Woolworths
All Woolworths stores in NSW, ACT, the Northern Territory and Victoria are expected to remain open, although customers were advised to to check the opening hours of their local stores online.
In Adelaide, metropolitan stores will be closed but the Rundle Mall and regional stores will remain open.
Dan Murphy’s
Dan Murphy’s bottle shops will stay open on Monday, although customers have been advised to check the opening hours at their nearby store as opening hours may vary.
BWS
BWS stores will also remain open on the public holiday but again, customers would be wise to check the website for specific stores as some may choose to cut their trading hours.
