Wendy’s customers are freaking out discovering the chain's Japanese version: '10 times better [than America]'

Fast food fans are beyond “jealous” after getting a look inside Wendy’s Japan.

The chain’s Japanese version, known as Wendy’s First Kitchen, is going viral thanks to a TikToker’s tour inside the restaurant. The clip, courtesy of the Japan-based travel account Sugoi Mart, has some foodies asking why American chains aren’t this “awesome.”

Sugoi Mart’s tour, which has more than 200,000 views, starts with the menu. As the video shows, Wendy’s Japan serves pasta, boba tea and a truly fancy matcha float. According to the clip, the chain even serves beer.

Of course, that’s all in addition to common U.S. Wendy’s items like burgers, chicken nuggets and fries. The chain’s iconic Frosty is seemingly absent from the menu, but in its place are mini-doughnuts, soft serve and sweet potato-based desserts.

The TikTokers behind Sugoi Mart tried several of the chain’s custom burgers — including a breakfast burger named after Roppongi, one of Tokyo’s famous nightlife districts. They also sampled a melon float and some iced green tea lemonade.

Naturally, American TikTok users had plenty of thoughts. Many praised the video extensively, explaining just how badly they wanted to visit Wendy’s Japan.

“It bothers me to no end how American fast food is 10 times better in Japan,” one user wrote.

“Wendy’s Japan is fire,” another added.

“I need to go right now,” another joked.

“That looks so good,” yet another wrote.

The Sugoi Mart clip is just the latest international fast food video to go viral on TikTok. In recent months, users on the app have been freaking out over McDonald’s in France, Popeyes in Spain and Taco Bell in China.
