Yahoo Finance Warren Buffett trims Wells Fargo stake, adds RH
Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK-A, BRK-B) stock moves for the third-quarter are out.
According to a 13-F regulatory filing, Berkshire trimmed its Wells Fargo (WFC) position by 7%, or 31.4 million shares, to last hold 378 million shares. Wells Fargo is the fourth largest stock holding for Berkshire Hathaway.
The stake in Phillips 66 (PSX) was also reduced by 6%, or 370,078 shares, to 5.1 million shares.
Berkshire slightly reduced its Apple (AAPL) position by 750,000 shares to last hold 248 million shares, a position valued at $55.7 billion at the end of the quarter. Apple is still the No. 1 largest stock holding.
Elsewhere, during the third quarter, Buffett added new stakes of 1.2 million shares of RH (RH) and 7.4 million Occidental Petroleum (OXY), the filing shows. Shares of RH were up more than 7% in the after-hours session.
Funds of a certain size are required to disclose long equity holdings in regulatory filings known as 13Fs. These filings are made public 45 days after the end of each quarter, so it’s likely that the positions may have changed in that time.
