Walmart surges, Facebook boots Russia-linked pages, Netflix cancels Marvel shows

Here are some of the companies the Yahoo Finance team is watching for you today.

Walmart is wowing Wall Street. The world's largest retailer blew past expectations with a 4% jump in same-store sales. The biggest boost was online, with e-commerce sales surging 43%. Walmart is maintaining its sales outlook for 2019.

Facebook is cracking down on more pages tied to Russia. They've suspended three video pages connected to Russian-backed media company RT. It comes after CNN found the pages didn't disclose the connection to Moscow. The video channels were designed to appeal to millennials and had racked up thousands of views.

Netflix is saying goodbye to two more series from the Marvel universe. ‘Jessica Jones’ and ‘The Punisher’ have both been cancelled as Marvel owner Disney prepares to launch its own streaming service. Netflix says it's grateful for the "fruitful partnership" with Marvel over the last 5 years.
