Vodafone customers have been left fuming as the telco experiences a major outage, leaving some customers without an ability to work.

Vodafone said the outage to 4G networks has forced some devices to intermittently revert to relying on 3G which is blocking up the network.

One Vodafone customer said the outage is impacting their livelihood as they work as an Uber driver and can’t connect to any potential customers.

The outage comes just hours after Facebook and Instagram also went down this morning with millions of Aussie users left without access to the sites.

About an hour after the outage was confirmed Vodafone updated customers saying the issue had been identified and was working to resolve it.

Unfortunately for those affected, the company warned customers would continue to experience issues with connectivity and speed throughout the afternoon while services return to normal.

Vodafone said it was working to progressively restore 4G services for all customers nationwide and all services should return to normal by the end of the day.
