Virgin offering $65 fares for Easter holidays

Virgin Australia has dropped cheap domestic fares for the upcoming Easter school holidays.

If you’re planning to take a trip or visit family over the Easter school holidays, now could be a good time to book.

Virgin Australia has announced a range of cheap domestic fares over the holiday period, with economy fares on offer from as low as $65 one-way.

The fares cover the Easter school holiday period with travel dates from April 17 to April 30, 2023. They also include Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and Status Credits.

Here’s a look at the deals on offer, based on economy fares:

  • Sydney <> Byron Bay from $65 one-way

  • Sydney <> Gold Coast from $79 one-way (valid Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays)

  • Melbourne <> Launceston from $85 one-way

  • Brisbane <> Whitsundays from $95 one-way

  • Melbourne <> Hobart from $105 one way

  • Melbourne <> Canberra from $105 one way

  • Melbourne <> Canberra from $115 one-way

  • Brisbane <> Mackay from $129 one-way

  • Melbourne <> Adelaide from $129 one-way

  • Perth <> Broome from $219 one-way

  • Perth <> Sydney from $289 one-way

There is no specific Easter sale running, you can head over to the Virgin Australia website to see the offers. Terms and conditions apply. For instance, prices may not include checked baggage.

The Easter long weekend will fall from Friday April 7 to Monday April 10 this year.

Bonza Easter deals

New Australian budget airline Bonza has also added more routes for travel over the Easter period.

Travellers are now able to book flights to an additional 11 destinations on 12 routes, with prices starting from $49 to $89 per person one way.

Deals include flights to Melbourne to Rockhampton from $89, Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast from $79 and Melbourne to Toowoomba Wellcamp from $79, amongst other offers.
