Yahoo Finance Virgin announces 500,000 cheap flights as low as $45
Virgin Australia has announced huge reductions on more than half a million domestic flights as part of its Shine Bright Sydney sale.
Customers can pick up one-way Economy Lite seats to Sydney for as low as $45, until midnight on May 2 or until sold out.
The airline is offering the low fares to give domestic travellers the opportunity to experience Sydney and the Vivid Sydney Festival of Lights, which will be taking place from late May to mid June.

The announcement comes in the wake of soaring demand - beyond pre-COVID levels - and the sale fares are not expected to last long.
Velocity Frequent Flyer members also have an additional incentive to take advantage of the fares, with Virgin Australia announcing double Status Credits will apply to the sales fares until June 30, 2022, as part of an extended loyalty promotion.

Virgin Australia has released some highlighted fares as part of the announcement, which include flights to or from Sydney, Ballina, Coffs Harbour and Newcastle in NSW.
