Gilbert Burns proved to the world that he’s the real deal at welterweight with a dominant performance against former champion Tyron Woodley.
“Durinho” rushed to the center of the Octagon at the start of the first round and didn’t let up the pressure vs. Woodley for all five rounds as he won a unanimous decision Saturday at UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
With the win, Burns improves to 19-3 and extends his winning streak to six fights in a row. Woodley drops to 19-5 and seems to have fallen off tremendously since his reign as champion.
