I tried the celebrity-favorite Kroma bone broth, and it really is ‘liquid gold’ for digestion, your skin and energy

If you follow celebrity wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow, you know she is pretty much the queen of cleanses. That said, one brand she and other celebs rave about is Kroma and its 5-Day Reset. The brand believes food is medicine, and the reset pledges to help you re-establish healthy habits, improve digestion, improve sleep and give you more energy.

“It’s so delicious, and you feel so good on it. They are probably my number one wellness essential for fall,” Paltrow says on Kroma’s website.

I tried the 5-Day Reset and can attest to its results, but five days takes real dedication and money — it costs $395. You can try Kroma’s 1-Day Reset or shop some of its products online, including my favorite, the 24K Chicken Bone Broth.

The 5-Day reset includes broths for lunch and dinner each day of the cleanse, including beef, veggie and chicken. It comes as a shelf-stable powder that you mix with hot water. You can enjoy it as is, but I added cauliflower rice, carrots, celery and even a little bit of shredded chicken to mine. (Here’s a great recipe Kroma provides using the broth.) Not only does it taste amazing, but I felt full after eating it without feeling bloated. I had more energy to get me through the day, and, I swear, my skin was glowing by the end of the week.

According to the product description, the 24K Chicken Bone Broth contains good-for-you ingredients like collagen, turmeric, calcium and magnesium — “making it the perfect ‘natural medicine’ to heal and support your gut and biome.” The brand calls it “liquid gold.”

If you’ve never tried bone broth, it tastes just like regular broth but more nutrient-dense. According to Harvard Health Publishing, there isn’t a lot of scientific research on bone broth’s advantages. However, plenty of nutritionists praise it for its gut health and digestion benefits, as well as potentially boosting the immune system, improving joint health, improving sleep and anti-aging properties.

“You will be amazed at how nourished you can feel by adding just a cup of bone broth to your daily diet,” Kroma’s website says.

You can purchase Kroma’s 24K Chicken Bone Broth online for $60, which includes 10 servings, making it about $6 per serving. Add a cup of it to your daily diet for a week and see how you feel — it may just make you a bone broth convert like me.
