TOWIE TV star Mick Norcross found dead at 57
The Only Way is Essex star Mick Norcross has been found dead at just 57 years old.
The British businessman was pronounced dead after being found by emergency services on Thursday afternoon, just hours after he shared a haunting final Tweet with social media users.
The TV star rose to fame as the owner of the nightclub Sugar Hut featured on the smash-hit reality series that starred Gemma Collins, James Argent and Chloe Sims.
He was also the father of TOWIE star Kirk Norcross.
In a heartbreaking twist, the father shared one final message on Twitter just hours before his death at 7:17AM.
“At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could,” he wrote. “And that is good enough.”
Police told The Daily Mail his death is not being treated a suspicious.
“We were called to an address in Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January,” a spokesperson told the outlet.
“Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Since news broke famous faces who frequented his business and starred alongside him on the show have flooded social media with tributes.
He is survived by three children and three grandchildren.
His son Kirk was featured in the show’s first season in 2010, and Mick joined the cast in 2011 after his nightclub became a popular filming location for the series.
He was at one time a love interest of Gemma Collins who had a crush on the nightclub owner,
Since news broke famous faces who frequented his business and starred alongside him on the show have flooded social media with tributes, all remembering a ‘true gentleman’.
Gemma Collins lead the tributes, writing a touching memorial of her former flame, and sharing a snap of the pair together.
“ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN,” she wrote. “Absolutely shocked and saddened by the news my thoughts and prayers are going out to Kirk’s family and friends absolutely tragic. The memories of the early days the sugar hut and the wonderful filming parties you put on will never be forgotten you never know what someone is going through you. Was one of the good guys.”
“A true gentleman & a very kind man!” James Argent wrote. “RIP Mick Many amazing memories, So Sad! My thoughts are with his family.”
“Shocked and heartbroken,” Mario Falcone write, alongside a heartbroken emoji.
