Bryan Gil says he is “so happy” to be joining Tottenham after completing his switch from Sevilla.

Gil has joined Spurs in a deal worth £21million plus Erik Lamela going the other way.

The 20-year-old winger, who has signed a five-year contract with Tottenham, is currently part of the Spain squad at the Olympics but sent a short message to Spurs fans from Tokyo.

“I’m so happy to join the Spurs family,” he said in a video posted by Tottenham on Twitter. “See you soon.”

Gil will link up with Spurs following the conclusion of the Olympics. He made 14 La Liga appearances for Sevilla, all as a substitute.
