Yahoo Finance 'Today' Fans Had the Best Reactions to a Streaker Ruining the Show This Week
Hoda Kotb was ready to have her moment, until a streaker declared it was theirs instead.
On Monday, Today cohosts Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie were about to announce the exciting launch of Hoda’s new podcast, Making Space With Hoda Kotb, when a streaker caught their attention outside of the NBC show’s Studio 1-A window.
While Craig tried to stay on topic, Savannah spotted the naked person running. “Oh, there he is. Wait, there he goes,” she said while turning around in her chair and pointing at the streaker. "Where are your clothes?"
“Bye!” Hoda said waving, while Craig yelled, “What are you doing? What are you doing?”

After the streaker ran by, everyone tried to refocus, but those behind the cameras thought it was best to take an impromptu commercial break. “What is happening? Oh my gosh, Hoda,” Savannah began before producers immediately cut to a commercial break.
Those who didn't see it happen live caught the unexpected moment later on social media and couldn't help but chuckle over the incident. “The 70s are back, baby!” one person wrote. “Probably the most excitement the hosts have had in years! 😁,” another added. “It’s funny how you see the security guard just watch the guy pass him,” a different fan said on YouTube.
Uninvited guest aside, folks still seemed super excited about Hoda’s new weekly podcast. Comprised of eight episodes, Making Space With Hoda Kotb aims to uplift listeners with inspirational stories and encourages folks to “make space” in their lives to find happiness. For the launch, Hoda has released the first two episodes featuring Transformation Church Pastor Michael Todd, author Suleika Jaouad and Oscar-winning musician Jon Batiste.
Later that morning, Hoda continued celebrating her podcast alongside Today show costar Jenna Bush Hager and even made a fun TikTok to promote her new project.
