Time running out to claim $1,000 payment
Aussies who were impacted by flooding in Tasmania in October last year have been given their final warning to apply for the disaster payment.
Tasmanians who were impacted by flooding in October last year have been given until April 17 to apply for the Disaster Recovery Payment.
Services Australia said those eligible for the cash payment must apply before the cut-off date.
“You are eligible if you’re in a Local Government Area (LGA) that’s been declared a disaster. The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment is not for minor damage or inconvenience. Its purpose is to help with major damage to your property or other assets,” Services Australia said.
