Yahoo Finance Woman shares touching video revealing she paid off her husband's student loans for Christmas: 'Now that's a gift'
A woman is drawing all kinds of praise on TikTok after paying off all of her husband’s student loans in a surprise Christmas Day video.
The post comes courtesy of @jaylabrenae5, a popular TikToker and influencer with more than 220,000 followers on the app. In a particularly popular clip, she shared her husband’s real-time reaction to his 2021 Christmas present.
“Working hard to set our family up for a great future,” she captioned the video, which now has over 435,000 views.
In the clip, @jaylabrenae5 gifts her husband a pair of shoes printed with the words “Debt Free.” At first, he seems pretty confused.
“I want you walking around debt-free,” @jaylabrenae5 says before handing him her phone.

From there, she proceeds to play a recording of a phone call with her husband’s student loan provider, in which she confirms that she’s officially paid off all of his debt.
“Your husband is one lucky guy,” the voice on the other end of the phone tells her.
The call causes @jaylabrenae5’s husband to cover his face, and he appears to start tearing up before he rises to give her a hug.
TikTokers were blown away by the “amazing” gift and @jaylabrenae5’s creative presentation.
“Girl, you are one hell of a life partner,” one user wrote.
“Now THAT’S a gift,” another added.
“I’m crying for him,” another wrote.
