TikToker leaves little brother baffled with their wild movie theater prank: ‘You’ve been here all night!’

A TikTok user is going viral after recording their highly successful movie theater prank.

The wild stunt comes courtesy of a user named Jay (@jedalyss). In her clip, which now has nearly six million views, she showed what happened after she went to the movies with her boyfriend and his little brother.

According to Jay’s video, the little brother fell sound asleep during the movie, so she and her boyfriend recruited a theater worker for some scare tactics.

“My boyfriend’s little brother fell asleep in the movie theater, and we asked the security guard to prank him,” Jay captioned her video.

The video begins with a shot of the little brother fast asleep, sprawled out in a chair. Then the security guard comes up to wake him while Jay and her boyfriend hide.

Although it was only midnight, the security guard told the little brother he’d slept until 3 a.m. The fake realization left him scrambling.

“What are you doing? It’s like three in the morning,” the security guard tells him. “You’ve been here all night. You’ve gotta get going.”

The clip ends as the little brother runs off with his popcorn, apologizing to the guard.

TikTok users had strong reactions to the video. Some criticized Jay and her boyfriend for playing such a “cruel” prank.

“That was so mean,” one user wrote.

“This kid hurt my heart when he talked,” another added.

Other users found the prank extremely funny — particularly the full commitment by the theater’s security guard.

“That security dude needs a raise,” one user wrote.

For what it’s worth, a user claiming to be Jay’s boyfriend followed up in the comments to say that, while his brother was scared for a second, he immediately thought it was funny.

“He knows how to take a joke,” the user wrote.

This is just the latest in a long line of elaborate pranks to go viral on TikTok. In the past, users have dressed up as Amazon drivers to surprise their boyfriends, ordered elaborate, $500 sandwiches at Subway and used a Snapchat filter to terrify their significant others.
