Yahoo Finance TikToker surprises viewers after revealing 'hidden room' during home tour: 'Now what I was expecting'
Over the past year, “secret room TikTok” has become its own, bizarre corner of the internet.
It’s where users on the app go to show off the hidden rooms and mysterious passageways in their home — whether it’s a secret beauty room, a “haunted” closet or an entertainment center hiding inside a wall.

Now, Jay Richardson is joining the trend. The TikToker is currently going viral for his wild secret room tour, and it’s pretty easy to see why.
Richardson’s video, which has nearly 600,000 views, begins in what appears to be a basement living room. But when the TikToker presses his hand to the fireplace, he reveals that there’s a lot more going on.
As it turns out, the wall in Richardson’s clip is a secret door. The TikToker opens the passageway and enters the hidden room, which is a wild, comic book fan’s utopia.
There’s a full bar, a fake phone booth and life-sized statues of both Superman and Spider-Man. Richardson goes on to show a Batman-themed home theater and an arcade gaming station. Oh, and there’s a ping pong table too.
TikTok users were both impressed by the space, and extremely shocked by its existence.
“I’m sorry, what?” one user wrote.
“Not what I was expecting,” another added.
“Can I live there?” another asked.
“Seriously that is so awesome,” yet another wrote.
It’s unclear whether or not Richardson owns the home, as he did credit another user in his video. Either way, it goes without saying that we’re extremely jealous of whoever decided to build this place.
